City tour of Ljubljana by foot - two hours

Ljubljana is one of the youngest state capitals in the Middle Europe and is city of Baroque and Art Nouveau. The name Ljubljana appeared in medieval documents for the first time in 1144, but was first mentioned as a town in 1234. Thanks to its favorable geographic position the city has become the political, cultural, economic and communication center. The climate is Central-European, with Mediterranean influence.
During the 2 hours walking tour we’ll visit the Town Square from the 15th century with the famous Fountain of Three Carniolan Rivers, sculptured by Francesco Robba in 1715, Town Hall, Open market, different landmarks erected by Slovenian most important architect Joze Plecnik like Krizanke complex, Three bridges, Shoemakers bridge, Market and other. We’ll also see the Parliament, Opera, National Museum and Ljubljana’s most famous Presern Square.


Excursion to Bled - half day

Bled is one of the most renowned Slovenian tourist resorts, dating back in the 1855, when Dr. Arnold Rikli introduced treatment with sun, air and water bath at Bled. It is adorned by three gems: the medieval castle from 11th century, the lake, which is of glacial origin and the island, with a church in the middle of the lake. Together with English speaking local guide we’ll visit all above mentioned landmarks and also drive with gondola-like boats „Pletna“ to the island. One the way back to Ljubljana we will stop at unique Slovenian restaurant called gostilna „Lectar“, where they will serve you some traditional meals.

Excursion to Postojna Cave - half day
Tuesday, March 5

Postojna Caves are one of the largest and most easily accessible network of underground caves in the world. A ride by electricity powered train will be followed by a guided walk through a series of caves with stalactites, stalagmites, pillars and translucent curtains that create unforgettable impressions, and the underground waters are the home of the world’s unique, rate, and endangered species of the amphibian Proteus Anguinus, or „human fish“ as it is popularly called here.
